Alabama Bill of Sale Form

Section 40-12-260(b)(2),Code of Alabama 1975 has directives about the requirements of preparing Alabama Bill of Sale Form during the sale of a motor vehicle in the Alabama State. This form is also necessary during the transfer of the title. This generic form is appropriate for use during the sale of a motor vehicle, boat, and ATV. The seller and a car dealer must comply with Section 40-12-260(a)(6) license plate transfer for the bold inscription required to declare the due penalty in case the vehicle is not registered within twenty days of the date of the sale.   2. Buyer’s name and address
  3. Amount of Sale in words and figure
  4. Detailed vehicle description
  5. Seller’s signature, printed name, and date
  6. Buyer’s signature, printed name, and date
  7. Signatures of two witnesses or notarization by the Notary Public of Alabama State
